A screening and a discussion around object-based performance of the 1970’s, particularly of Richard Foreman’s Ontological-Hysteric Theater, Stuart Sherman, Michael Smith, Maurico Kagel, Guy de Cointet, John Zorn, and Mike Kelley. Sanders will discuss a genre that never really happened: Structural performance? Hermetic theater? Visual Music? or?
